Thank you for the fun post. I am in my seventies and definitely old-school. I didn't even use spell-check or grammar-check when I wrote my full-length novel. I do occasionally google instructions for how to fix/find something on my laptop, and more often than not the instructions are wrong or can't be followed (or maybe I just don't understand what that particular icon is supposed to look like?). I didn't get a personal cell phone until late 2013. While some AI may be useful/helpful in medicine and science, I'd rather avoid it in my personal life as much as possible, not so much on principle, but because it kind of scares me.
Interesting thoughts. I especially liked the part about people being less willing to entertain "dumb" questions.
And I'm absolutely with you on idea generation. Idea generation is not at all my problem, time is my problem. At this point, I have a writing voice, so starting with GPT's boring style isn't going to help me in the least!
This was a riot to read! Funny and thought provoking.
Thank you!
You are an inspiration!
Inspired by you, I might try this old-school way some day soon!

Thanks for your comment. I can't imagine writing out a full length novel without word processing!
