One thing I can observe is why many people hate Jews is because they are having a "life".
Jews are seen as mostly wealthy people. And people who are down and out and financially unsuccessful despise the success of the Jews in the business realm. They do what they can to pull down the Jews thru crab mentality or in whatever way that they can make Jews also suffer.
This is just what I observe. Because some people, no matter what they do in their life, never seem to be financially successful. But it seems the Jews have this magic business touch.
Again, this is one of my observations of the follies of the human mentality.
Its funny, but in Europe when most jews were poor, the same stuff was said about them then becauseof a small minorityof wealthy people. In America now, there are still lots of lower income jewish families but plenty of middle class.
Unfortunately, people still point at the wealthy ones and assume all jews are wealthy.
I heard once that when I was growing up that most antisemitism in America comes from states with low amount of jews living there or people who don't have jewish friends.
Not only with Jews but with all race types wherein the ancestors make it big in business. For example the parents become billionaires in their business ventures and they have 6 children. They pass on this business acumen to 2 of their kids who also sustain this entrepreneurial success in their respective families.
The other two merely become employees and enter the middle class.
The other two didn't manage their finances well and fail in their ventures or simply they didn't make it. They enter the lower classes.
So as time goes by, it is really the person managing his or her finances and who enter business ventures successfully who matters. Not whether they are Jewish or not.
But because business acumen is passed on sustainably from generation to generation in Jewish families, they statistically have a better percentage possibility of business success.
Many European governments successfully taxed the Jews out of prosperity and kept them in ghettoes for centuries. We only hear about the exceptions, like the Rothschild's, of course, but people literally starved to death in the streets or died from exposure to the elements.
Jews in America are treated as equal citizens, so coming from a culture of extreme disadvantage, that might be one reason they did relatively well. So far.
An alternative spiritual explanation is that after the Holocaust, G-d gave the Jews some time to rebuild.
I am very touched by your loving words about your cousin. Writing a post in his honor that will spiritually uplift people is a beautiful testament to his soul.

I have cousins Katsman in Seattle. Not that we have actually ever met most of them; my sister and our cousin Rochel met for the first time when they were in the same class in Stern College. Rochel moved to Israel close to 40 years ago and last I heard lives in Beitar. Hayim may have been her nephew. Truly we are all family.
I'm sorry for your loss Isha. Words are vain in this horror, but necessary. I took a look at your links, I looked at Hayim and in my own way sent a prayer for his soul and his loved ones. He litteraly embodied his peace activism. Here in France Jews now fear for their security. In 2023?? I have no words for this hell. May there be a light for peace leading the world to heal the trauma. Take good care.
In reading other links from AS Kling, especially that the Jew has always been “the other”, I was thinking of both the Babylonians and Assyrians. Both are gone, their cultures lost to the conquerors, tho likely many genes carried down, especially raped sex slaves and concubines., thus few Y chromosomes.

Like The Fiddler’s third daughter (… On The Roof), he doesn’t want his daughter to marry a non-Jew. Which is racism, yet also why Jews exist still as a people, and a big reason avg folk don’t like them—Jews think they’re too good to marry non-Jews. Not the only reason, but quite important.
Many Jews deny this, and the general dislike of avg folk against the rich and successful is also a true reason to be envious of many rich & successful Jews. And high IQ super smart.
