Our children attend Shaloh House Jewish Day School in Boston. It’s a Jewish Russian school. The students range from barely-interested-in-Judaism to the children of the executive director.
Sounds like a wonderful school! I think your chickens will fit right in with the parrots.
Footnote number gave me pause for thought. I don't think I ever appreciated that they don't consider themselves Russian (and I grew up in the "let my people go" generation...)
Yes. I hesitated about writing that but ultimately everyone describes it as "russian" even though "from FSU" is much more accurate. Thanks for your comment!
Great post and it is fantastic that you found a school they your kids enjoy and had great academics. The school (and shul) seems like a great place. Gan Israel camps, while each different bases on location, always draw a nice cross-section of the community and those running the camps are always so passionate about making sure the kids and staff have a successful summer.
Out of curiosity, what types of high schools do most of the Shaloh House graduates go to?
I hope you sent this article to Shalom House! It sounds like an amazing school.
Shaloh House
Thank you! I did. Funny, my phone does the same autocorrect
I agree with csw, you should send this to Shaloh House!
Done!

The school goes up to 6th grade, and kids go anywhere after. We're hoping our kids go to chafetz chaim high schools, of course.
Cool, that’s nice that the kids end up in a variety of high schools.
The best current events story I have recently read!
Thank you!
A school article without criticism?! Amazing!
So healing to read an article chock full of compliments!
“always behaved and follows instructions”
You’re going to want to take care of that certificate. :)
Oh I do! That's how we have it almost 3 years later
Sounds like a terrific school, double check your aquarium fact though
there's no salt water frogs 🤷
Oh wow, that's a really bad mistake on my part, see edit
