Hi Springmeadow! They certainly need to be shepherded. You will note they did not come along to either the inspection or the oil change.
The price of inspections tends to be regulated by the state, thus the simple round number. The price of random car parts and services of questionable utility is not. Applying the same part of your brain to both prices may lead to confusion or anger.
